Dj Jaivane real name is Luyanda Mlonzi, born in Diepkloof in Soweto has been named one of the amapiano pioneers, a d even one of the few people who discovered amapiano or rather made it popular.

DJ Jaivane has found himself in hot water after a social media user by the username Tshepo Ranko took to social media to share a sneaker collection posted by the DJ. He shared that the DJ keeps showing off his riches, whereas his artists signed under Simnandi Records are struggling and can barely make ends meet.

DJ Jaivane just posted his sneaker collection and the setup. What a shameless oke. Muziqal Tone barely has furniture in his back room.

That guy is really not a good person. Haven’t received any royalties from any of the music that is out on DSP’s. Reported our debut album claiming the music belongs to him they took it down. He cant even press a keyboard that time 💔

thats why he lost ATK Musiq, Young Stunna, TMan Xpress, Spizzy, Mashudu & J&S Projects all in a year💔

In the early days of his music career, the DJ got little or nothing from the disc jockey hustling, but he had to provide for him family. So he took a job as a cashier at Pick ‘n’ Pay.
When he started working with DJ Stokie, they used to get paid R150 on some weekends, and then it rose to R350 in 2014. Back in 2014 I’d probably get R350 to play. He said, “I would be happy to get it. I could have given up like others did along the way. I’m so happy I didn’t.”

Back in the days, he would get a plate of food as payment for DJing at an event. “Even though I was broke, I was at my happiest when I was DJing. Apart from just being DJs, we(him and Stokie) owe our success to being consistent and dedicated to creating and playing quality music,” DJ Jaivane said.
