Young Stunna Thanks Maphorisa And Kabza Following His #SAMA28 Win. The full list of winners for the 2022 edition of the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) were announced at the Sun City Superbowl in Rustenburg on 28 August. The second day of the awards ceremony, which was hosted by Nandi Madida, Lawrence Maleka, Mpho Popps, Robot Boii and Alphi Sipho Mkhwanazi, featured performances from Stogie T, A Reece and Tshego, with an emotive tribute to the late Riky Rick. Other performers include Makhadzi, Takie Ndou, Shekinah, Musa Keys, Konke, Da Capo and Lloyiso.

Sandile Msimango, popularly known by his stage name Young Stunna is a South African singer. He is known for his hit singles “Bopha” and “Adiwele”. Young Stunna scored big for his first South African Music Awards as he walked home with two awards on Sunday night.The vocalist won the Best Amapiano Album and Best Selling Artist of the year 2022.

Taking to social media, Stunna who is currently one of the hottest vocalists in the country penned down a note of gratitude to Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa for believing in him. He also appreciated other people who worked with him and supported his career. “@kabelomotha_ & @djmaphorisa, thank you so much for believing in me, it changed me & my family’s lives. May God bless everyone I worked with on this project, y’all are amazing. Thank you so much for listening to my music everywhere you go , in every situation you go through. I promise to take care of this gift & continue making beautiful music. Akwande,” he wrote.

“Our 28th instalment has certainly set the highest standard for live awards shows,” RiSA CEO Nhlanhla Sibisi said. “We are grateful to our hosts Nandi Madida and Lawrence Maleka, all the guest presenters, performers for making this an exceptional night. We are proud of all the 2022 winners as they maintained the bar that had been set. We had an unforgettable experience in Sun City and look forward to visiting again in 2023.”
