Pretoria-based producer, DJ Karri is the mastermind behind the amapiano hit Trigger featuring Lebzito, BL Zero and Prime De 1st. In an interview with Review, Karri mentioned that he fell in love with house music in the late 90s but began DJing professionally in 1999.
The Trigger Dance Challenge was started by TikToker and content creator Victor Ivyic. Since the dance challenge took off on TikTok, it has amassed over 17 million views on the video-sharing app. “I play any type of house music depending on the type of crowd, but I prefer commercial-house in a club and deep-house at home.”
There has been a dance challenge accompanying the song, and several amapiano artists have decided to participate including DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, Major League DJz and more.
