The countdown to one of South Africa’s biggest Amapiano events is officially underway, and the organisers of Scorpion Kings Live have revealed the personalities who will take charge of the mainstage at the highly anticipated FNB Stadium show.
Celebrated dancer, actress and presenter Bontle Modiselle, together with comedian, dancer and musician Robot Boii, have been confirmed as the official hosts for the historic concert, which takes place this Saturday, 19 September 2026.
The massive event will see Amapiano heavyweights DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, collectively known as the Scorpion Kings, take over one of South Africa’s most iconic stadiums. The concert is expected to attract more than 70,000 fans, creating an enormous platform for the genre’s biggest names and performers.
The choice of hosts adds another layer of entertainment to what is already expected to be a high-energy celebration of Amapiano. Modiselle brings extensive experience in dance, television and live entertainment, while Robot Boii is known for combining comedy, music and dance in his performances.
With thousands of fans expected to fill the stadium, the hosts will play an important role in keeping the audience engaged between performances and maintaining the energy throughout the show. Adding to the unique presentation of the concert, veteran sports and broadcast personality Baba Mthethwa has also been announced as the event’s official Chief Commentator.
