Zee Nxumalo has officially unveiled the highly anticipated music video for her hit single “Ngithathiwe,” featuring Funky Qla and Dlala Thukzin. Released on Friday, 14 August 2026, the visual gives fans a fresh way to experience one of the standout records from her latest collaborative EP, Izinja Zam: Vol. I.
Serving as the closing track on the four-song project, “Ngithathiwe” has quickly established itself as one of Zee Nxumalo’s notable releases. The song blends Amapiano with the increasingly popular 3 Step sound, creating a rhythmic and dynamic production shaped by the contributions of Funky Qla and Dlala Thukzin. Zee Nxumalo leads the lyrical performance, bringing her distinct vocal presence to the collaboration.
Long before the arrival of its official visual, “Ngithathiwe” had already been gaining momentum among listeners. Its impact has extended beyond streaming platforms, with the single ranking at number 34 among South Africa’s most-played songs on radio during July 2026. It generated more than 4.96 million radio audience impressions, receiving 356 spins across 46 stations throughout the month.
The song has also contributed to the growing success of Izinja Zam: Vol. I. The collaborative EP has achieved Gold certification in South Africa after surpassing 2.6 million local streams and more than 20,000 units sold, marking another important milestone in Zee Nxumalo’s rapidly developing career.
The newly released “Ngithathiwe” music video is directed by Keith Benza, with creative direction from Char Baker and styling by Mmaphuti Movundlela. The visual adds another dimension to the song while giving fans an opportunity to connect with the record beyond its audio release.
The EP itself features a strong lineup of collaborators. It opens with “Bawo,” a spiritual Afro House track featuring Dlala Thukzin, Shakes & Les and Sino Msolo. “Awe Mah 2.0” follows with Dlala Thukzin, Young Stunna, Blxckie, Funky Qla and MK Productions, while “Guga (My Prayer)” brings together Dlala Thukzin, Funky Qla and TBO. “Ngithathiwe” closes the project.
Zee Nxumalo’s expanding international profile is also reflected in her current touring schedule, which includes performances across Australia, the UK, Portugal, Ireland, Kenya and Zimbabwe.
As an independent artist, she releases music through her own imprint, KwaNxumalo (Pty) Ltd, in partnership with Shingai Darangwa of Punchline Projects. With “Ngithathiwe” now backed by an official music video, the song enters a new chapter as Zee Nxumalo continues to push her sound to audiences at home and abroad.
