South African Amapiano vocalist Thatohatsi has shared an emotional tribute to Sleazy, opening up about the major role he played in helping her believe in herself during the early stages of her music journey.

Thatohatsi, who has quickly become one of the standout voices in the Amapiano scene, reflected on how Sleazy supported and encouraged her long before she became recognized within the industry. The vocalist, known for her soulful vocals and emotional delivery, has worked alongside major names such as Kelvin Momo, Kabza De Small, ShaunMusiQ and Mellow and Sleazy as her profile continues growing rapidly.

In a heartfelt message shared online, Thatohatsi described Sleazy as one of the very first people to truly believe in her talent at a time when she struggled with confidence herself.

“This guy is one of the first guys to believe in me when I never even believed in myself,” she wrote.

The singer explained that during their early studio sessions, Sleazy constantly motivated her even when she doubted her own abilities. According to Thatohatsi, he remained patient and encouraging, especially during moments when she felt her contributions were not strong enough.

“He was the first guy to cheer me up after recording a verse that wasn’t even that dope,” she shared.

She further revealed that Sleazy continuously reminded her of her potential and reassured her that success would eventually come if she remained committed to her craft.

“He reminded me how good I am and how things would really work out one day almost every day,” she added.

Beyond the music itself, Thatohatsi spoke about how dedicated Sleazy was to helping her grow personally and professionally. She recalled how he would often invite her to studio sessions because he understood how much happiness and comfort she found in being able to create music.

“He actually meant it when he called almost everyday gore ke tle studio because he knew how happy I was when I arrived there and get to record,” she wrote.

The vocalist also revealed that Sleazy supported her financially during difficult periods in her life. According to her, he would sometimes send her transport money to ensure she could make it to the studio and occasionally provide extra cash to assist with responsibilities at home.

“This guy here would literally send cash for me to come to studio,” she explained.

One of the most touching moments in her tribute came when Thatohatsi reflected on how Sleazy exposed her to experiences she had never encountered before, including taking her to Sandton for the first time.

“Ke bone Di bilide le ma yagaya for the first time in my whole entire life, is this guy here,” she wrote emotionally.

Although the two artists may no longer speak as frequently as they once did, Thatohatsi made it clear that his impact on her life and career remains unforgettable.

“You will forever remain in my heart and I would never trade you for anything,” she concluded.

The emotional tribute has touched many fans online, with supporters praising both artists and highlighting the importance of mentorship, kindness, and genuine support within the music industry.
