I feel like I’m in my own zone now ’cause I just dropped an album. For me, that’s what is important,” he explained. He went on to reflect on how his solo journey has allowed him to explore more sounds and genres than before. “I’m free to explore more sounds because there were certain things binding me, not to do certain genres. He was clear about his stance, “Bro, for me, you know, it’s so weird how the circle of amapiano is doing weird things, you know. And I’m not trying to keep up with all of that. So yeah, I’m keeping my head straight because I know where I’m going. I’m not going to be always doing I’m Amapiano. I’m not trying to work with the Big guys out there and then they try to look back and say, hey, there was something going on here, this and that, this and that. So yeah, no, man.”
When asked about the possibility of reuniting with his former partner, Murumba Pitch SA was candid yet focused on his current path. “You know, even if there was a possibility, for me personally I feel like I grow more when doing this thing on my own. I’ve proven it in my recent projects, the album that I just dropped now,” he said.
