Eeque The Dreama Gets Candid About His Music Career. Eeque, also known as Leago Moganedi, hails from Kwa-Thema. The artist is carving a name for himself in South Africa’s music industry, having already collaborated with Mr Jazziq, Uncle Waffles, KiDX and Focalistic.

The rapper and vocalist opened up about his music authenticity. “I speak about like real-life stories; I’m trying to spread a positive message. As people, we go through different things,” he adds, but through music, he wants to show how people are connected through shared experiences ,” the 24-year-old musician told News24.

When asked what drives him, Eeque’s answer wasn’t the fame or wealth that comes with being a successful musician but the act of storytelling. “I like telling stories through music; that’s how I open up.”

He is not only just a rapper, but he also used to dabble in acting once upon a time. He grew up in a ‘very musical family’ which helped him make the conscious decision to immerse himself in the entertainment industry. The Limpopo born musician reckons even though people label his music as ‘hood’, he makes music for everyone, even more so because the messages he conveys are easy to relate to.

He makes sure to keep his stories diverse, telling “different stories for different people, who are not the same market”. He wants those different listeners to take something personal from his music.
