“From 3k Followers to 3k Audience In New York,”Uncle Waffles Celebrates Milestone. Lungelihle Zwane, formally known as Uncle Waffles, is at the forefront of the music scene through her contributions to DJing and producing. Through the popular South African Amapiano genre, she’s generated a shift to dance floors and stages across the globe.

The Eswatini native’s career kick-started overnight due to the power of social media when she reached millions of viewers. It was October of 2021 at Zone 6 nightclub in Soweto, South Africa when she filled in for a withdrawn DJ and didn’t know her life would change forever.

Uncle Waffles reflects on her early days as a musician, and she’s grateful for how far she has come.It didn’t take the DJ years of struggle before she broke into the industry and garnered fame both nationally and internationally.

Waffles has bagged endorsements from top stars like Drake, Ciara, and a few others.Taking to Instagram, the musician celebrated her success in performing to an audience of 3,000 people in New York.She appreciated her team and those who support her.“2 years ago I had 3k followers, today I curated a show in New York with 3k people. I have so much to say, so many people to thank you. 🥺thank you guys soo much. For loving me,” she wrote.See the video below:
