Slade Shows Off His Brand New R700k Car. He hasn’t been around for long, but he is making his presence felt in the music industry. Sihle “Slade” Jiyana (25) has been strategic about his rise. He first gained fame on Tik Tok before the release of his music.

His debut song Barman, released in March, started the momentum. By the time he released his latest single Wamuhle, he had already made a name for himself. To celebrate his winnings, the DJ and producer has bought himself a brand new whip. Taking to social media, DJ Slade shared a photo of his new white Toyota Quantum bus worth around R700 000.

He first taught himself how to use a digital DJ program called Virtual DJ. “It’s the best thing for beginners, and I taught myself the basics before moving onto proper DJ equipment,” he said. The self-taught DJ started making music more than three years ago.“I used to hang out almost every day at a friend’s studio, watching and observing how they worked and that is where I learned how to DJ and how to conduct myself like the star that I was going to become,” he added.

Slade didn’t want to make careless mistakes.“I’ve seen my idols make mistakes and I wanted to learn from their mistakes so I do not repeat them. So I chose to take my time before embarking on a journey to fame and I am not fazed by it. As long as I can make people happy through my music, then my job is done,” he shared.
