Daliwonga Reacts To ‘Abo Mvelo’ Hitting 5 Million Views In One Month. Amapiano, the word being used to describe what’s currently South Africa’s fastest-growing electronic-music movement, has witnessed the likes of Daliwonga progressing in the sound, while making a name for himself with his melodic voice.
Daliwonga released one of the biggest amapiano hits this year titled ‘Abo Mvelo’ and he released it about a month ago, however the song has been doing incredibly well on music streaming platforms. Within the one month of its release, the track has amassed over 5 million views on YouTube. This is a milestone Daliwonga doesn’t take for granted as he took to social media to thank his fans for the support and love. See post:
Daliwonga has collaborated with acts like Kabza De Small, Sha Sha and even the King Monada himself on a song called ‘Tester’ last year – which is still doing the rounds on commercial radio stations. He also featured in some of the biggest Amapiano hits of 2019 namely ‘Yelele’, ‘Hamba Nga two’, and ‘Friends With Benefits’. His biggest song from the few being Friends With Benefits, which swept through the streets like a hit wave.
The artist, who is also a poet, rides Amapiano instruments with clever lyrics that tell a tale – when not complaining about something, like in his latest release Moya with Aymos who is another promising act in Maphorisa’s stable.
