Lady Du Reveals That She And Fiance Andile Mxakaza Have Separated. Amapiano DJ Lady Du, real name Duduzile Ngwenya, has had a public relationship with former Isibaya actor Andile Mxakaza, and has been open about meeting him at the height of her depression and how his love became her lifeline. Since the pair had been sharing their love story on social media, the two were deemed inseparable. Lady Du said she was always in awe of the royal treatment she receives from Andile and was grateful that thanks to his presence, she’s even managed to reconcile with her family.
On 9 January, Lady Du took to social media to pen a message on social media which left many sad, revealing that she and fiance Andile have separated. She explained that she was attacked and it even got to a point of her car being scratched just because there were people who didn’t agree with their relationship. The amapiano artist headed to her Instagram page early on Sunday afternoon to clear the air around her separation from Isbaya actor Andile Mxakaza. “I am not one for gossip, it bores me. This is from my heart, We did not break up, we followed our hearts and that meant separating before things went south.“I’ve had numerous attacks from people I didn’t even know, people making me uncomfortable because of culture, people attacking my character, scratching my cars. So I decided it’s best I follow my heart and leave my relationship. We also realised we want different things. So we are both happy with the decision and we ask that you kindly respect it. It hasn’t affected any of us. Let it not affect you or make you sad.It’s life. We all need to live honest lives 🙏❤️ I love you WAWA.”
Meanwhile, Andile also took to the comment section to share how proud he is of Lady Du. He also says that he is sorry things didn’t work and he’s happy she stood her ground against people who were speaking about their relationship.
Andile and Lady Du started dating early 2020, but Andile knew he’d found the one and asked Lady Du to marry him in August 2020, three months into their relationship. Fast forward to May 2021, the pair had been living blissfully and Andile felt his hard working wife-to-be deserved a bigger rock on her finger, so he roped her brother in to help him plan a surprise “ring upgrade proposal”.
