10 Things you Should Know About Sha Sha. Queen of amapiano Sha Sha has been releasing hits since she started releasing amapiano jams till date. She is being the vocals on ‘Love you Tonight’ by MFR Souls. Twenty six years old Sha Sha is a prolific singer, songwriter and performer who hails from Zimbabwe, but relocated to South Africa to continue her career. Her genre of music is Amapiano and she is known for her collaboration with top artiste and her hit song “Tender Love”. The EP cemented her new superstar status and subsequently obtained the title of being Queen of Amapiano.

As much as you may know her from her smash hits, we have gathered 10 things you should know about Sha Sha:

1 Sha Sha’s real name is Charmaine Shamiso Mapambiro

2 She hails from a small town known as Mutare in Zimbabwe.

3 Her singing talent is a gift that was discovered after she joined a choir, and soon, she commenced taking piano lessons. She knew she could sing, but she did not take it seriously. It took the intervention of her friends after they presented her music to one of Zimbabwe’s leading radio stations.

4 Sha Sha speaks at least four (4) languages including Shona, English, Zulu, and Ndebele.

5 Sha Sha connected with DJ Maphorisa through a cab driver.

6 In 2020, she was signed to Blaqboy record label, owned by DJ Maphorisa.

7 If she were not a musician, she would be a nurse. Her parents wanted her to pursue nursing as they did not view music as a career.

8 She is an introvert despite being in the music industry.

9 She says that the one thing she could not leave the house without is money.

10 Her biggest fears are creepy crawlies such as bugs and spiders.
