5 Nigerian Artists That Released Amapiano Tracks Featuring SA Artists. It’s now an open secret that amapiano is a South African sound, however, most Nigerian producers and artists have embraced the sound and are releasing their own interpretations of amapiano music and collaborating with SA artists to unite, celebrate and foster an exchange of the electrifying music scenes that exist throughout the continent.

Below is a list of amapiano and amapiano-infused songs made by Nigerian artists with South Africa features:

Davido featured Sho Madjozi and his protégé Mayorkun to pay tribute to some friends from his fathe and deceased cronies like Pop Smoke. Sho Madjozi adds a bit of intros she is known for as she sings “Papa Penny imnghana wa mina”. The record was produced by Fresh VDM housed under Davido’s third album, A Better Time.

Off his third album, Three, Award-winning Nigerian Dancehall and afrobeats singer Patoranking teams with South African producer, C-Tea to deliver “Nobody”. Patoranking lends his signature patois to an instrumental that intersects reggae and amapiano rhythm. Patoranking was one of the biggest gainers when the gqom wave rocked the Nigerian music industry in 2018 with his smash hit “Available”.

Niniola taps the South African phenomenon off her album ‘Colors & Sounds‘ released in 202 with tracks including ‘Addicted, Look Like Me”, “Oh Sharp” featuring Busiswa. ‘Oh Snap’ was produced by gifted music producer Shuffle Muzik. Niniola is renowned for effectively wielding South African sounds to deliver relevant and impressive records since the release of Maradona.

Nigerian musician Midas the Jagaban released an amapiano inspired sound “Paigons” single which features SA rapper Sho Madjozi, who seems to be getting enlisted in most of these cross-country amapiano collaborations. Midas The Jagaban has caught a lot of eyes and ears with his impressive music. Sho Madjozi contributes to ‘Paigons’ which is the sixth song on Midas’s debut EP Midas Touch released in December 2020

Nigerian DJ Neptune previously released an amapiano remix to his mega hit “Nobody” with a Pitori’s Focalistic guest verse.
