Tyla is giving South African fans even more reason to look forward to 2027 after adding a second Gauteng date to her highly anticipated A*POP World Tour. The global superstar will now perform at Pretoria’s SunBet Arena on Friday, 8 January and Saturday, 9 January 2027.
The additional date comes after strong demand from South African fans, while the original 9 January Johannesburg concert has also been moved from the Nasrec Outdoor Area to the indoor SunBet Arena. Ticketmaster currently lists both Pretoria shows for 20:00.
The move follows concerns around the Highveld’s summer weather, particularly the possibility of thunderstorms, as well as requests from fans for more seated options and an improved overall concert experience. SunBet Arena offers both standing and seated configurations, providing promoters Showtime Management and Anything Goes with an indoor setting for the highly anticipated performances.
Fans who already purchased tickets for the original 9 January Nasrec show do not need to take any action. Their tickets have been automatically transferred to SunBet Arena in the same category, according to the event information supplied by the promoters.
The change of venue also means that Gauteng fans will now have two opportunities to see the Grammy-winning star live during the South African leg of her world tour. Ticketmaster’s official listing confirms the two dates at SunBet Arena Time Square in Pretoria.
Tyla’s return to South Africa is particularly significant as she continues to take her music to audiences around the world. Her APOP World Tour celebrates her latest musical chapter and follows the release of her second studio album, APOP, which has further cemented her position on the international music scene.
The South African dates will also mark another major homecoming moment for the Johannesburg-born star, giving local fans the opportunity to experience her music and live performances on home soil.
