MFR Souls Drops New Single Titled "Abahambayo"
SHARE

After the success of their previous single ‘Bathandwa’ and their album “Musical Kings” the SAMA award winning duo return with a star-studded line-up on their new single ‘Abahambayo’ featuring Mzulu Kakhulu, Khobzn Kiavalla and Dj T-Man SA.

‘Abahambayo’ features an “igwijo” inspired break that gives the song an authentic South African flavour, it is a new sound where they have fussed Amapiano and Maskhandi. Trust us when we say it’ll get you off your seat and keep you moving. With this track, the Amapiano duo is determined that “bazo hamba naba hambayo kuze kuse.”

With multiple music nominations and awards, the Katlehong natives are ready to rock South African House music once again. Woza ungasali and listen to MFR Souls’ Abahambayo, here.

Hailing from a small township in the East of Johannesburg called Katlehong, the combination of “Ma-Ero” real name Tumelo Eric Nedondwe and “Force Reloaded” whose real name is Tumelo Sam Mabe come with a new sensational sound in the house genre commonly known as AMA-Piano.

The duo met in 2009 at an event in Tokoza which is where they exchanged contacts and started communicating about their love for music. It was only later in 2013 that they decided to form their group Ma-Ero & Force Reloaded which was later abbreviated to MFR Souls. They were known in the streets for their unique way of djing as well as producing most the music that they played at parties.

The duo’s first official release came in the year 2014 which was titled “Bless The Souls”, this was a 4 track EP with their smash single “My Reflection”. The duo were later picked up by house legend Tim White and were asked to feature on his House Afrika Unmixed album released under Sony Music in the year 2015. Their talent was so over whelming that their pre-released single My Reflections was yet again the biggest song in that House Afrika Unmixed album. Tim White was so impressed with the boys that he decided to have them feature in his next release House Afrika Unmixed 2, where they had 2 of their songs in the compilation.

The duo then went to take the music industry by storm when they released their first independent commercial single in 2018 titled “Bhamb’Khanda” feat TallArsTee which blew up and was one of the biggest AMA Piano songs in the country. The song did so well that it earned the duo the title of “The Kings of AMA Piano”.

2019 will be bigger and better for the duo as they have now officially signed with music giants Sony Music Africa and are set to release their debut EP in October 2019. Their story is continuing to unfold and the sky is definitely the limit for these 2.
