Zee Nxumalo Reveals How Much She Needs To Shoot Visuals For MAMMA

Amapiano sensation and songwriter Zee Nxumalo, celebrated for her chart-topping 2023 hit “Funk 55,” has once again captured the internet’s attention, this time letting her fans in on how much producing a music video costs.

In a candid and revealing post on her official Facebook page, Zee Nxumalo shared with her loyal fanbase that her new song Mamma urgently needs a music video. 

 “I need 250k, I need to quickly shoot a music video for MAMMA. Jesu.” 

Social media was set ablaze with Zee’s candid revelation, which left has fans with questions. Known for her hit song “Ngisakuthanda,” a track that has been certified multi-platinum and resonated deeply with audiences.

Zee, who is a highly successful artist and actress, is not exempt from feeling the high budgets that come with releasing new music. With a song like “Ngisakuthanda” dominating charts and her collaborations with major artists, most people have a perception that successful artists who top the charts have access to any type of resources they need to produce quality visuals.  

Zee Nxumalo is a Swazi-South African singer-songwriter who gained mainstream success with her 2023 single, Funk 55, which became a major hit and has been certified 5x Platinum in South Africa. She is also widely recognized for her powerful collaborations, including the popular track Ngisakuthanda with TBO, PYY Log Drum King, and DJ Tearz. Her collaborative work extends to other well-known songs like Mali with Dlala Thukzin and Sykes, Thula Mabota alongside Pabi Cooper and 031Choppa, featuring Shakes & Les, and Ama Gear, which features Dlala Thukzin, Funky Qla, and MK Productions. Additionally, her song Bhampa with Vigro Deep and Ch’cco has further solidified her reputation as a formidable force in the Amapiano music scene.

Beyond her hit songs, Zee Nxumalo has made a significant mark on the music industry through her recent achievements and innovative business approach. Her talent and hard work were officially recognized when she was crowned Artist of the Year at the 2025 Basadi in Music Awards, a major win that cemented her as a leading voice for a new generation of artists, highlighting her critical and commercial success. In a testament to her growing influence, she entered into a unique partnership with Nickelodeon Africa to create a SpongeBob-inspired track, “U’Spongé,” showcasing her ability to blend her artistry with global brands.
