Mpura Shares A List Of Artists Who Inspired His Music. Biggest and fastest growing wave amapiano has birthed and gave the spotlight to some of the newest musicians like Mpura and Busta 929. Mpura’s relationship with Busta 929 apparently goes way back and way deeper than just friendship in the music industry. The two have been sharing their snaps together, sharing how deep their brotherhood is to their fans. They both worked on multiple song together including the ground-breaking amapiano hit ‘Umsebenzi Wethu’ which became Mzansi’s favourite at some point till date.

Mpura is much known for his hot verses he incorporates on songs to become smash hits. He revealed where he gets his inspiration from and some of the artists who inspired his music. Speaking on telling a story with music and the legends that inspired his music career, Mpura said: “We get our inspiration from Kwaito legends like Brown Dash, Spikiri, Bricks, Mandoza. Basically we want to tell our story with music.”

Mpura further went on to say that artists must start building relationships with their producers to avoid conflicts. “Me and Busta 929 we just told ourselves that we won’t have fights or rather everything will be a conversation between us when discussing things. We agree about everything with each other,” Mpura added.

They also mentioned that they are working on ‘Umsebenzi Wethu’ EP which will have 4 to 5 tracks on it. “When we eceived the news that ‘Umsebenzi Wethu’ went doubble platnum, we decided to make it an EP instead of it just being a single. Because after we went double platinum on ‘Umsebenzi Wethu’ that’s when we started getting a lot of bookings.
