Award-winning Amapiano star Young Stunna has opened up about his deep respect and admiration for Kabza De Small, revealing why he affectionately refers to him as his “dad.” The “Bopha” hitmaker recently shared details about the impact Kabza De Small has had on his life and career, leaving social media divided over their unique bond.

Speaking on the Helen Herimbi-Moremi Podcast, Young Stunna, whose real name is Sandile Fortune Msimango, explained how Kabza De Small took him in during a crucial stage in his career. The Amapiano pioneer provided him with a home, guidance, and mentorship—helping him transition into a rising superstar.

In a clip shared by @TheYanosUpdate on X, Young Stunna recalled:

“He’s always been a dad to me, you understand? From the first day he accepted me at his house. When he told me that I must come and live with him. He basically told me, ‘Tell your parents you’re not coming back anymore. Now you’re gonna live with me,’ and that was the biggest blessing ever. I lived with Kabza for more than a year until I could find my own place.”

Kabza De Small didn’t just provide a place to stay; he played a pivotal role in shaping Young Stunna’s career, helping him establish himself as a household name in Amapiano.

Young Stunna was full of praise for the “King of Amapiano”, highlighting how Kabza De Small has helped countless other artists who have walked through his doors.

“He actually saved a lot of lives. Everyone who walks into that house comes out with something, and I bet they can tell you. We look at each other as brothers, and we look up to Kabza as a father figure. So, everyone goes to him. Goes for advice. Like a lot of people in that door, and they come out with a smiling face.”

Kabza De Small’s influence extends beyond music—he is a mentor, a leader, and a guiding force in the Amapiano movement, helping shape the careers of numerous young artists.

The revelation sparked a debate online, with some fans applauding Kabza De Small for his generosity, while others debated whether such a relationship should be labeled as father-son. Regardless of the discussions, Young Stunna’s gratitude remains undeniable.
