The women of 1956 fought for our place in society, and women today are still fighting for the same struggles. We must work ten times more than our male colleagues for us to be seen and heard. That is why I believe in working with women because when we work together, we have so much power.”

Bontle started her musical career whilst attending the University of Johannesburg where she joined a contemporary singing group called “Current of Blackness”. Bontle met DJ Giggs Superstar from Soul Candi which subsequently led to her being featured on “Deep House Chronicles 4”, this sparked her love for house music which would form the foundation of her music career.
