Mr JazziQ is first emerged as one-half of South African Amapiano DJ/producer duo, JazziDisciples which released a slate of projects that found their footing on the dancefloor and on streaming platforms. He ha now released some of the smash hits keeping Mzansi on their toes on weekends. Besides his collaborations with the likes of Reece Madlisa, Busta 929, Zuma, and Mpura; there are a few things you probably don’t know about the star.

1 Mr JazziQ’s real name is Tumelo Monyani, and he is 26 years old this year.
2 JazziQ went to Highlands North Boys’ High School.
3 He was raised by his grandmother in Alexandra whilst his parents stayed in the north of Johannesburg.
4 Mr JazziQ started DJing at the young age of 14 and producing at 16 years old. In an interview he had this to say: “My music influencers were my dad and uncle, who hosted famous musicians at home. I was around the likes of Oskido, Shimza, Culoe Da Song, Black Coffee and so forth. I have a good ear for music and my dad and uncle used to collect records and ask my opinion on music.”
5 After completing matric, Mr JazziQ decided to pursue a music career. His big breakthrough finally came in 2018.
6 Mr Jazziq is one half of the popular former Amapiano duo, JazziDisciples.
7 In 2019, they were nominated for Best Amapiano record at the Dance Music Awards South Africa.
8 The duo also opened for Miguel when he had a concert in South Africa.
