Samthing Soweto Reacts To ‘Amagents’ Topping Charts 3 Weeks In A Row. Samkelo Lelethu Mdolomba, known professionally as Samthing Soweto, is a South African singer and songwriter. Samthing is best known for his vocals on Sun-El Musician’s song “Akanamali” and his number 1 single on spotify “Akulaleki”.

When he told fans about his then long awaited single titled ‘Amagents’ just a day before its release, they got excited, already believing it would be a success, even before it hit the airwaves. And they were right. Barely 12 hours after it was out, the song was already trending and hitting top 10 positions. It’s now been over a month since it officially dropped, however it continues breaking boundaries, topping the Metro FM top 30 songs for three weeks in a row. This is a huge milestone worth celebrating for the star as he took to social media to thank his fans for the continuous support.

Award-winning artist Samthing Soweto said he was excited about the song immediately after it dropped. “We’re number one on Apple Music right now,” he said with excitement. “It has only been a few hours since his dropped it, but he has already had a positive response from fans.“It’s amazing, they really love the song. So that’s testament to the love of #amagents. I’m grateful,” he added.

On social media he described the song as “a simple yet complex message from a father to his daughter”. He will not be drawn into talking about his daughter, but says she is also glad the song is finally out.“We’ve been singing along to the song on our morning drives to school for months now.”
