Sibu Nzuza Jumps Into Amapiano

Sibu Nzuza Jumps Into Amapiano. The amapiano wave seems to be taking over the music industry, and every artist seems to be having an interest in jumping into the genre. He has always been about love, and even though he was trying an upbeat song for the first time in his music career, he still sang about love in Mpulele.

Sibu, who is currently signed under Ambitiouz Entertainment released a single titled Mpulele featuring his stablemate, Lesotho-born rapper Malome Vector. The song is about an absent boyfriend picking up signs that his girlfriend is losing interest in their relationship because of him not being around all the time. The only time he remembered he was in a relationship was when it was cold or when he was out of money. Another element of surprise to look out for is that the isiZulu-speaking muso sang in Sesotho, and he was excited about sharing his diversity with the world.

No one could have imagined Nzuza and Malome Vector joining minds because of their different genres and languages, which is what makes the feature more special and thrilling. “This sound resembles the amapiano one, which is not Vector’s and my typical sound, but joining forces to explore it brought out the magic. People will dance to this song and relate to it as it’s quite a common scenario among modern-day couples.”

The 30-year-old said being in the music industry came with a lot of pressure, but it was all worth it. “My music journey, before and after going professional, has been challenging and taxing. In some instances, it can get a bit lonely, but I’d do it all over again because it has been worth it. My discipline keeps me grounded and focused, but most of all, I have always lived by a saying: ‘Just don’t stop making music.’ A lot can happen but keeping your eyes on the prize is the mechanism.”

He is inspired by many great artists and would like to work with the likes of Bongeziwe Mabandla and Samthing Soweto. Nzuza hinted there was more music and bigger projects in the pipeline that people could look forward to this year.
