Lady Du ReactsTo ‘The Kings Of Amapiano’ UK Festival Being Postponed Due To Travel Restrictions. With amapiano being the biggest sound right now both in South Africa and outside the African continent, it has a huge demand of amapiano pioneers all over the world. With that being, South African artists had anticipated the largest and only UK festival dedicated to lovers of Amapiano and the glorious electrifying vibes that comes with it. Fusing the best of International and UK Amapiano artists / DJs. Also, highlighting and celebrating South African culture, dance and food. AMA Fest is the first and only Amapiano open-air festival of its kind, and the yanos fans were looking forward to it.

With the alarming rate at which COVID-19 cases are increasing and with the fear of the fourth wave, the Amapiano UK festival will unfortunately not take place this year anymore. This is due to he travel restrictions that have been put in place, as South Africa is on the red list in the UK. Lady Du who was one of the artists set to perform at the event, has shared her disappointment following the news. Taking to social media, the ‘Superstar’ hitmaker shared a statement explaining why the event will not take place this year with the new dates for next year. Check it out:

The live performances on the day from South Africa are Amaroto, Lady Du, Boohle, and some UK artists. Lady Du is currently one of the hottest voices in amapiano. Born into a family of musicians, her father DJ Choc and uncle DJ Zan D are reputable deejays and producers. Lady Du, real name Dudu Ngwenya, first learned how to play at the tender age of nine. Since then and during her early adult life, she had been trying to get a successful break into the music industry. And it was only in 2020 that her name became a household.
