Amapiano artist 031Choppa has officially released his highly anticipated seven-track EP, Run Jozi, following months of carefully developing his sound and building momentum with a string of standout releases.
The new project arrives as a continuation of what has been an impressive year for 031Choppa, who has consistently delivered energetic records that have made their way into the Amapiano mainstream. With Run Jozi, the artist brings together several of his musical influences and collaborators for a project designed to keep listeners moving.
Throughout the year, 031Choppa has been involved in a number of tracks that have attracted attention from Amapiano fans. Among them is “Fast Fast,” featuring Al Xapo, Benzoo, Roscosteazy, Optimist Music ZA and JussGigi. He also joined forces with Royal MusiQ, DBN Gogo and Djy Biza on “Hamba No Choppa,” while “ZEP” brought together DJ Smallz, ZinedinexSguche and Uncool MC.
Those collaborations have helped establish 031Choppa as a consistent contributor to the genre, and Run Jozi now gives him the opportunity to present a complete body of work under his own name.
The seven-track project features an impressive list of collaborators, including Royal MusiQ, Shoes Meister, Zee Nxumalo, Focalistic, Uncool MC, DJ Smallz, Al Xapo and Benzoo, among others.
The diverse lineup gives Run Jozi a collaborative energy while allowing 031Choppa to explore different sides of his sound. Across the project, the producer brings together vibrant Amapiano rhythms and energetic production that can easily fit into different moments, from daytime listening sessions to late-night parties.
The title Run Jozi also adds to the project’s identity, placing the music within the energy and culture of Johannesburg while presenting 031Choppa’s interpretation of the city through sound.
For fans who have followed his releases throughout the year, the EP offers an opportunity to hear several of the artist’s creative directions come together in one project. Rather than relying on a single sound, 031Choppa uses the seven tracks to showcase his versatility and collaborative approach.
With the project now officially available, the focus shifts towards how listeners will receive the complete body of work.
As Amapiano continues to dominate dancefloors and playlists, 031Choppa’s Run Jozi arrives with the energy needed for the festive season. With its impressive lineup and seven vibrant tracks, the EP gives fans another soundtrack for golden-hour sessions, late-night drives and celebrations.
