South African music rises with hope as Nomcebo Zikode joins forces with rising producer TorQue and multi-SAMA award-winning artist Mthunzi to release “Ithemba”, a powerful anthem of resilience and perseverance. Radiating courage and optimism, the track reminds listeners that strength in the face of adversity is both necessary and transformative.

Drawing from personal and universal struggles, “Ithemba” captures the courage required to navigate life’s highs and lows. Grammy Award-winner Nomcebo Zikode reflects, “My biggest struggles aren’t a secret, and though they are painful, I’ve learned to keep moving forward.”

Emerging producer TorQue shares his perspective: “As a rising DJ and producer, I’ve faced setbacks and challenges that sting. Nomcebo’s resilience inspired me, making her the perfect voice for this track.”

Mthunzi, celebrated for his soulful artistry, adds, “Life is full of ups and downs, but I’ve always strived to push through obstacles and stay true to my craft.”

Since its release, “Ithemba” has captured the nation’s attention, going viral on TikTok with over 120,000 likes. “We are humbled and grateful that listeners have embraced the song’s message from the start,” the trio shares. “Our hope is that ‘Ithemba’ continues to remind everyone of the power of perseverance—to keep going, no matter the odds.”

For its creators, “Ithemba” is more than music—it’s a sanctuary of honesty, acknowledging that life demands strength and that perfection is a myth. The track delivers a simple yet profound truth: hope, when paired with action, is transformative. It is a call to the weary and broken to rise again, emboldened by the promise of renewal.
