DJ and producer Airburn Sounds is back with a brand-new Amapiano gem titled Crush Yam, alongside Mawhoo, BoontleRSA and Optimist Music ZA. The single officially drops on Friday, 12 September 2025.
Blending a soothing Afro-soul guitar with mellow yet dance-ready Amapiano grooves, Crush Yam captures the innocence of a crush — the longing, the shyness, and the fear of disappointment. The lyrics tell a tender story of romance and desire, wrapped in playful rhythm and melody.
Mawhoo’s delicate feminine vocals balance the track’s emotive energy, while the male vocals reveal vulnerability and charm. Airburn Sounds calls the track “a light-hearted, poetic Amapiano song — universal, relatable, and timeless.”
