Rising Amapiano powerhouse MaWhoo has released her much-anticipated new body of work, Amazwi Okubonga, now available across all digital platforms. The project follows the record-breaking success of her smash single Bengicela and marks another milestone in her fast-climbing career.
Translated as “words of gratitude”, the nine-track EP is a celebration of joy, faith, and resilience. Seamlessly blending the euphoric rhythms of 3-step with the soulful depth of Amapiano, Amazwi Okubonga explores themes of love, spirituality, and strength — further solidifying MaWhoo’s place as one of South Africa’s most captivating voices.
The project is rich in collaborations, featuring acclaimed artists including Zee Nxumalo, Nkosazana Daughter, Thatohatsi, Tracy, and Mthandeni SK, alongside contributions from Mthunzi, Jazzworx, Sykes, Thukuthela, Yumbs, GL_Ceejay, and Deep Sen.
