After years of delivering hit features, LeeMcKrazy decided to take a bold step and release his own album. One month ago, the artist dropped his much-anticipated project, Intando Ka God 2.0, and it has generated both excitement and mixed reactions. In a recent interview on the L-Tido podcast, LeeMcKrazy opened up about how he feels about the album’s reception and the varying opinions that have emerged since its release.
When asked about the reception of his album, LeeMcKrazy acknowledged that not everyone was immediately impressed. “My brother, I won’t say much but yes, the album is pushing the way it is. It may not be the best for some people. But then for me, as long as I see the numbers, as long as I see everything. Those are the things that I’ve never received on me. So, I’m happy with the little progress that I see,” he shared.
Despite the mixed reviews, LeeMcKrazy emphasized that he values the album’s impact on his career. The numbers—streaming stats and the growing audience—are what matter to him, even if certain fans had different expectations. “It’s not the best for some people,” he admitted, yet he remains optimistic about the project’s success.
Addressing the criticism about the album, LeeMcKrazy explained that his fans may be expecting him to continuously release songs like his previous hits, such as “Ebhasini” and “Jealousy.” However, he clarified that his artistic journey has evolved, and he’s exploring different musical avenues. “People are expecting that LeeMc will always be dropping songs such as ‘Ebhasini’ and ‘Jealousy’. No, LeeMc loves soulful music,” he said, explaining that tracks like “Jealousy” and “Funk 99” were crafted to represent his breakthrough moments. “Those songs were me telling you, ‘I’ve arrived, I’ve seen you, and I wanted you for a long time.'”
LeeMcKrazy’s shift towards more soulful music reflects his artistic growth, and he feels that Intando Ka God 2.0 represents this new phase. Even though some listeners may have been expecting more of his earlier sound, the artist is proud of the direction he has taken. “I come in and drop a good song, just like that,” he said with confidence.
Despite the mixed reception, Intando Ka God 2.0 is undeniably one to watch. LeeMcKrazy’s willingness to push boundaries and experiment with his sound speaks volumes about his dedication to evolving as an artist.
