South African singer and songwriter Bassie is closing the year on a high note with the announcement of her highly anticipated debut album, “Umculo.” Scheduled for release on December 6, 2024, the album is set to showcase Bassie’s signature blend of soulful vocals and captivating melodies, promising fans a body of work worth the wait.

Bassie shared her excitement with fans on social media, writing:

“Finally Dropping My First Album Next Month #Umculo. PRESAVE LINK IN BIO. Closing off the year with all of the songs you’ve been asking for throughout the year. Thank you to everyone that has held me down until now, kukhulu ok’zayo.”

Bassie has steadily risen in the music industry, earning a reputation for her heartfelt lyrics and powerful collaborations. Known for her chart-topping singles such as “Izenzo” with Aymos and her solo hit “Kwelanga 2.0,” she has consistently delivered songs that resonate deeply with her audience.

Over the years, Bassie has built a loyal fan base, and “Umculo” marks her first full-length offering. Fans have eagerly anticipated this moment, as Bassie hinted throughout the year that she had been working on a special project.

The album title, “Umculo”—which means “music” in isiZulu—suggests that this project is a celebration of the art form itself. With her unique style that blends Afro-pop, Amapiano, and soulful elements, Bassie aims to create an album that not only entertains but also inspires.

The tracklist, yet to be fully revealed, is expected to include both new songs and fan favorites that Bassie has teased or performed over the year. Collaborations with some of South Africa’s top artists and producers are also anticipated, further elevating the album’s appeal.

Fans and music lovers should mark their calendars for December 6, as “Umculo” promises to be a fitting end to an incredible year for Bassie.
