South Africa’s chart-topping DJ duo TxC returned home to an ecstatic reception at OR Tambo International Airport today, following their landmark victory at the 2025 BET Awards in Los Angeles, where they were named Best New International Act.
The high-energy homecoming was hosted by the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture in collaboration with BET, and brought together fans, media, and government officials, all eager to celebrate TxC’s global achievement and the role they’ve played in taking South African music to the world.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Matome Chiloane, MEC for Education, Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation, praised the duo for their impact:
