Musa Keys has taken on a new and exciting role as the executive producer for Nando’s Mix It Up Vol.3. This latest Amapiano EP is a blend of local and international talent, featuring artists such as A$AP Nast, Teni, and Unknown T, alongside South African producers Duppy, Nkulee, and Toby Franco. The EP marks Nando’s third music release and is created in collaboration with the non-profit South African organization, Bridges For Music.

As the executive producer, Musa Keys has crafted a collection that celebrates one of South Africa’s most influential cultural movements, Amapiano. The genre, known for its infectious rhythms and dancefloor appeal, is represented through the collaborative efforts of standout producers Nkulee, Duppy, and Toby Franco. This project sees Amapiano seamlessly merging with international music styles and cultures, resulting in a unique and experimental sound that is both innovative and true to the genre’s roots.

The tracks on Mix It Up Vol.3 bring together the raw US rap of A$AP Nast, the captivating lyricism of Nigerian artist Teni, and the distinctive UK Drill tones of Unknown T. This fusion of sounds highlights the versatility of Amapiano and its ability to evolve while championing collaboration. The EP was recorded and produced at Nando’s sponsored Flame Studios in Johannesburg and Nando’s Soho recording studio in London, embodying the brand’s belief that “Life’s Better When You Mix It Up.”

Now in its third year, the Mix It Up project, in partnership with Bridges For Music, aims to celebrate South African heritage and provide a platform for emerging musical talent. The project not only highlights the incredible sounds coming out of South Africa but also showcases the global reach and influence of Amapiano.

“Mix It Up bridges the gap between the UK and SA, showcasing young talent and providing a platform to spread our message on education, empowerment, and community building. It directly integrates into Bridges for Music’s mission to create positive social impact through music, helping to pave the way for a brighter future for creative youth from under-resourced communities,” shares Valentino Barrioseta, Bridges For Music Founder and CEO.

Dean Slotar, Bridges For Music Cultural Manager, adds, “We hope that the mixtape will help the world celebrate and indulge in the unique cultural expressions and musical styles of our community. We want people to feel inspired, empowered, and uplifted so that our community can become their community. Together, we can build a world where creativity thrives, creating positive change and developing new talent within the community.”

Mix It Up Vol.3 EP Track List:

  1. “Living My Life” – A$AP Nast, Teni, Nkulee
  2. “Come Closer” – Teni, Toby Franco
  3. “No Police” – Unknown T, Duppy
