Uncle Waffles Gushes Over Beyonce Knowing Who She Is. International artists co-signing Uncle Waffle has become a regular thing. From Drake to Ciara, Kelly Rowlnad and Beyonce just to mention a few, they all love the Amapiano DJ and her world domination in music.
A month ago, a clip of Beyonce dancing to Uncle Waffles’ hit song, Tanzania during one of her shows on her current Renaissance World Tour surfaced and went viral. Reacting to clip then, Uncle Waffles tweeted, “I’m crying wow.” And now sharing how she really feels about being known and co0signed by Beyonce.
Whilst talking about her music influences growing up during an interview with Spotify, Uncle Waffles listed two local legends before mentioning her own love for Beyonce. “Growing up I was always very much a girl’s girl. I still am. So I was definitely a lover of Chomee, Lebo Mathosa, those are the people that were accessible to me at the time. You know you can watch them on any channel. And then my girl B, my girl Beyonce. If you didn’t know, that’s my girl because she knows me. Hey B,” Uncle Waffles gushed.
We wonder how Beyonce came to know of Uncle Waffles. The singer is notorious for low key knowing what’s popping in the world of music from all corners of the world. Or could it be her former bandmate and best friend Kelly Rowland who told her? In an interview back in May, Kelly had this to say about Uncle Waffles: “There is this really cool DJ out right now, her name is Uncle Waffles,” she said. “And she has got so much personality. She is from Africa or Nigeria, South Africa, I can’t think of where exactly, but she is so cool.”
