Tyler ICU Shows Maphorisa Appreciation For Helping His Career. Tyler ICU is a South African musician and record producer who has produced a number of hit tracks, in different genres, although he’s now known as the amapiano mainstay. Having produced and worked on a dozen songs, Tyler ICU officially landed his first amapiano hit in 2021 alongside DJ Maphorisa titled ‘Banyana’, that made the yanos fans finally recognise him.

Tyler is signed under DJ Maphorisa’s Blaqboy Music says that working with artists such as Maphorisa is a very good experience and learning curve for him when it comes to the mastering of his craft.

He also took to social media to show appreciation to Maphorisa for teaching him “how to move”. Tyler is one of the fastest rising stars to make waves in the amapiano space. “I met @DjMaphorisa and he taught me how to move Forever greatful to that man,” he wrote. See post:

Tyler said that Dr. Dre got him interested in doing music in general because he was the leading producer in 2002 and 2003. “I started exploring with beats when I was about 10-years old and that’s when I got my first computer. When I was 15 years old I started to make the work more professionally,” he said
