Musa Keys Bag 2022 MTV EMA Best African Act Award Nomination Alongside Burna Boy And Tems

Musa Keys Bag 2022 MTV EMA Best African Act Award Nomination Alongside Burna Boy And Tems. MTV unveiled its nominations for the highly anticipated MTV EMA 2022, featuring international artists who dominated the music charts this past year. The MTV EMA 2022 will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany, at the multi-functional indoor arena PSD Bank Dome. The ceremony will broadcast live on MTV in more than 170 countries on November 13 and will be available on Paramount+ and Pluto TV globally beginning November 14. This year marks the sixth time Germany has hosted the event.

South African Amapiano artist Musa Keys is nominated in the Best African Act category. Alongside Nigerian superstars Burna Boy and Tems with record-breaking hits like ‘Last Last’ and ‘Damages’, as well as breakout sensation Ayra Starr with her hit single, ‘Bloody Samaritan’ are also nominated.

“Every year African talents dazzle the world with remarkable ingenuity and vibrant artistry, and this year is no different. We are quite elated to celebrate these talents and the pure genius they produce as well as their grit, determination, incredible ethic and achievements at the 2022 MTV EMAs,” said Monde Twala, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Paramount Africa.

Leading the pack of international nominations this year is Harry Styles who gathered seven nods, including for Best Artist, Best Song and Best Video. Taylor Swift follows closely with six nominations including for Best Artist, Best Pop, and new EMA category, Best Longform Video. Nicki Minaj and ROSALÍA each earned five nominations including for ‘Best Song and Best Artist.
