5 Things You Should Know About Khathu Mangolo From Murumba Pitch.Amapiano has become a world-conquering genre since emerging in South Africa over a decade ago, with the sound mutating in recent years to solidify its place as an embedded dance music culture. They might not have an album out yet but Murumba Pitch is a talented duo that music lovers anticipate good music from.

Here are 5 things you should know about the one half of Murumba Pitch, Khathutshelo Innocent Mangolo (Maeywon):

1 He is currently based in Johannesburg, but grew up in small-town, Nkomazi which is situated in Mpumalanga in parts nearby the Lebombo Border.

2. He didn’t have a perfect upbringing, however his parents gave him everything he wanted. “Growing up my childhood was not as perfect as I wanted it to be but my mother & father made sure that I had anything I wanted during that time even though they were separated.”

3. Khathu first learnt how to play instruments at church. “I used to be a Drumist at church but they didn’t know that I could sing since it was something I didn’t have self-confidence about.”

4. He was inspired by Hip Hop music. Growing up I was a fan of R&B and American hip hop so to mention a few I can say Party Next Door, Don Toliver & definitely myself. Where I come from, my mother, father, siblings, and everyone who believes in me.

5. If he wasn’t in the entertainment industry, the star says he would be doing something related to mechanical engineering. “I’d be a mechanical engineer since it is my profession by the paper.”
