Uncle Waffles Reacts To Being Verified On Her Social Media Account. Uncle Waffles went from begging to play a 5-minute set in a club to becoming one of the most booked DJs in the country in a matter of days. The 21-year-old viral sensation is the hottest DJ on the block right now and is even followed by award-winning rapper, Drake. This is a blessing that Uncle Waffles – whose real name is Lungelihle Zwane – does not take for granted.
Uncle Waffles went from being followed by Canadian rapper Drake to being verified on Twitter in a short period of time. The star woke up to a blue-tick on her social media account, and she could not believe that she has just joined what they call “Verified girls worldwide”. Check it out:
Since Uncle Waffles started trending on Twitter, some comments came off as negative and the star felt it was about time she addressed them. In her recent post, Uncle Waffles tweeted that she doesn’t personally handle her Twitter account, however, she is aware of what was being said about her. “I had mentioned on an earlier live that I didn’t handle my Twitter anymore but I’m back because what’s being said is genuinely getting out of hand,” she wrote.
She further went on to say that she is thankful for her team who go above and beyond to ensure that her career is never sabotaged. “I’d just like to say, my team is the biggest blessing in my life when it comes to my career. They go above and beyond for me, the narrative that’s being shared is so disheartening. They have never made me feel uncomfortable or treated me inappropriately.”
“Neither has anyone else that’s come into my life, everyone has respected and actually showed me an incredible amount of love. Coming here and having to explain how people who have completely dedicated their lives to helping me grow, guide me, show me love, encourage me and actually carry me thru all the turmoil of a “blow up” really sucks Bc of how it’s made them feel. Everything being posted is being twisted and taken out of context, kk and everyone is my family,” she explained.
