According to Sunday World, South African musicians and amapiano stars Mpura and Killer Kau have passed away. It was reported that the two died on their way to a gig to Rustenburg. According to a source who spoke to Sunday World, the two passed away after a car crash. This comes after Amapiano vocalist and DJ Lady Du shared the news on her Instagram.
It is also believed that Kabza De Small was with the two on the night before they passed away. This led fans to speculate if Kabza has passed away as well, however, Sunday World’s source confirmed that Kabza is alive and well. The Amapiano star also took to Twitter, to assure fans that he was fine.
Sakhile Hlatshwayo, who goes by the stage name Killer Kau broke to fame after releasing the hit single ‘Tholukuthi Hey’. To many of his fans and friends, he is the youth who popped on the music scene in South Africa at a tender age and became a great sensation almost overnight. Mpura on the other hand has also been consistent with releasing music after he broke to fame following one of the biggest amapiano tracks titled ‘Umsebenzi Wethu’.
