October delivered another exciting month for Amapiano, with fresh projects from some of the genre’s most recognised producers and vocalists, alongside singles that have kept listeners entertained. From Mr JazziQ and Sfarzo Rtee’s latest bodies of work to impressive collaborations from Njelic, Sam Deep, De Mthuda and Tracy, there has been no shortage of music worth adding to your playlist.
With so many releases competing for attention, here are five Amapiano songs and projects that deserve a spot on your listening rotation right now.
1. Mr JazziQ & Thesixx – “Katalia” feat. Shazz RSA, Don Deeya & Magwe ZA
Mr JazziQ continues to demonstrate his consistency, delivering music despite his numerous commitments outside the studio. After kicking off the year with 0303, which remains a strong contender in the Amapiano album conversation, the producer has returned with another exciting offering. His latest collaboration with Thesixx, “Katalia”, featuring Shazz RSA, Don Deeya and Magwe ZA, serves as an expressive celebration of the stance-inspired side of Amapiano.
2. Young Stunna – Busisiwe
Young Stunna’s second studio album, Busisiwe, finally arrived after years of anticipation and several delays. The project brings together an impressive collection of collaborators, including Focalistic, Djy Vino, Kabza De Small, TOSS, Nkulee501, Sleazy and Zee Nxumalo. With its range of contributors and musical influences, the album gives listeners plenty to explore while showcasing Young Stunna’s versatility.
3. Njelic, Sam Deep & De Mthuda – “Confidence”
Njelic has once again reminded listeners why his musical presence remains important in Amapiano. Teaming up with Sam Deep and De Mthuda, he delivers “Confidence”, a record that blends feel-good energy with a message of self-love. Its celebratory atmosphere makes it suitable for everything from wedding celebrations to pre-party playlists.
4. Tracy, Stixx & Tycoon – “UBafo”
Tracy represents a refreshing wave of Amapiano vocalists bringing personality and storytelling into the genre. On “UBafo”, she explores the frustrations of dealing with an unreliable character who always seems to have another excuse. Stixx and Tycoon provide soulful production that complements her vocals and brings the story to life.
5. Sfarzo Rtee – EMPINI
Sfarzo Rtee closes out this selection with EMPINI, a 12-track project that highlights his soulful production style. Following his 2025 release Rearabilwe, the producer returns with a collection of reflective and carefully crafted records. Collaborators include Mkeyz, Baby S.O.N, Mashudu, Makhanj and Nontokozo Mkhize, adding different vocal textures to the project’s overall sound.
These five releases demonstrate the diversity of Amapiano right now, from energetic dance-floor productions to soulful storytelling. Whether you prefer vocal-driven records or carefully layered instrumentals, there is something here worth adding to your playlist.
