South African singer and dancer Pabi Cooper has sparked fresh speculation about her relationship with Amapiano star Focalistic after sharing cryptic social media posts just hours after his controversial Instagram Live.
Pabi took to her Instagram Stories to share a selfie-style video in which she reflected on the embarrassment that can come with being in a public relationship. Although she did not mention Focalistic by name, the timing of the post immediately caught the attention of social media users, who connected it to the musician’s earlier livestream.
In the video, filmed outdoors with greenery in the background, Pabi spoke candidly about relationships and how uncomfortable things can become when private matters play out in front of the public.
Speaking in a mixture of Zulu and Sesotho, she said, “Ukujola, kuyafana nozikakela. Especially when talking about relationships in public. Yafana nozikakela phambi kwabantu. Imagine.”
Her remarks quickly became a talking point, with many interpreting them as a possible reaction to the comments Focalistic had made during his livestream.
The Instagram Story was not the only post that raised eyebrows. Around the same time, Pabi also shared a TikTok video featuring an audio clip with the words, “I’m not married, I’m single.”
The choice of sound added another layer of speculation, leaving fans questioning whether the singer was hinting at a change in her relationship status or simply expressing her feelings through social media.
The posts came shortly after Focalistic addressed his romantic history during an Instagram Live, where he openly confirmed that he had previously dated DJ and producer DBN Gogo. He also made remarks about his connection with Pabi, prompting widespread discussion about the couple.
Following the backlash, Focalistic returned to Instagram Live on 3 November, appearing noticeably subdued as he expressed regret over his earlier broadcast.
“I regret it, truly,” he told viewers, before admitting, “I made a huge mess last night.”
His comments added to the ongoing conversation, with social media users closely following both artists’ posts for further clues about the situation.
While Pabi has not directly addressed Focalistic’s livestream or confirmed any changes to their relationship, her latest posts have certainly fuelled speculation.
For now, fans are left wondering whether the cryptic messages were directed at the situation or simply reflected her personal feelings.
