South African Amapiano star Focalistic has admitted that he regrets his controversial Instagram livestream after his comments about his past relationship with DBN Gogo and his connection to Pabi Cooper sparked widespread reactions on social media.

The rapper returned to Instagram Live on 3 November 2026, appearing noticeably subdued as he addressed the fallout from his previous broadcast. Unlike his earlier livestream, which attracted attention for his candid remarks, the follow-up saw him acknowledge that he may have said too much.

During the broadcast, Focalistic expressed regret over his actions, telling viewers, “I regret it, truly.” When a supporter sent him a rose emoji in the comments, seemingly offering encouragement, the musician opened up a little further, admitting, “I made a huge mess last night.”

The apology follows an earlier livestream in which Focalistic discussed several topics, including what appeared to be a long-standing tension between himself and fellow rapper Cassper Nyovest. He also hinted that the two could potentially be working on music together, giving fans something else to speculate about.

However, it was his comments about his romantic history that quickly became the biggest talking point.

During the livestream, Focalistic openly confirmed that he had previously dated DJ and producer DBN Gogo. Making the revelation without hesitation, he said, “I dated DBN Gogo, there!” Their relationship reportedly came to an end around 2023.

He also appeared to reference his connection with dancer and musician Pabi Cooper, who is widely understood to be his current partner. His comments sparked conversations about the couple’s relationship, with social media users questioning why he chose to discuss his romantic history so publicly.

Pabi Cooper subsequently responded with a series of videos on social media, adding another layer to the situation and prompting further discussion among fans.

Reactions to the livestream have been divided. Some users criticised Focalistic for what they viewed as a lack of discretion, arguing that his comments were insensitive towards his partner. Others expressed sympathy for Pabi, suggesting that the situation placed her in an uncomfortable public position.

With his follow-up livestream, Focalistic appears to acknowledge that the situation got out of hand. His admission that he regrets the broadcast has now become another talking point, as fans continue to follow the unfolding drama.

For now, his words suggest that he recognises the impact of his comments and the reaction they have generated.
