The artist was set to headline the Amapiano Explosion event in Harare on 9 August 2025 alongside Zimbabwean-born singer Sha Sha. However, the show took a chaotic turn when news broke that Stunna would not be attending.
According to reports by H-Metro, fans who had gathered at the venue from early in the day erupted in anger upon hearing the news. The situation escalated quickly, with some attendees hurling bottles at the stage and damaging property in protest. The no-show has been widely condemned on social media, with many expressing frustration over what they perceive as a lack of professionalism and respect from the artist.
In a statement released shortly after the event, Young Stunna cited a family emergency as the reason for his absence. “It is with much regret that we announce the postponement of my performances this weekend due to an unforeseen family emergency,” the statement read. “We understand this may have caused great inconvenience for the promoter, sponsors and the fans; therefore, we truly apologise.”
