South African music heavyweights Focalistic and Vigro Deep are once again joining forces, and fans are already hyped for what’s to come. The two, known for shaping and influencing the evolution of Amapiano, have previewed a new track that is expected to appear on the upcoming joint album by Focalistic and Ch’cco, titled “Based On A True Story (B.O.A.T.S).”
Taking to Instagram, Focalistic shared a short video teaser with the caption, “Dubai July ⛵️🥂B.O.A.T.S.” The video, which features him alongside Vigro Deep and Ch’cco, sparked instant excitement among fans, many of whom are anticipating that this collaboration will be one of the standout tracks from the new album.
This upcoming release marks a reunion of sorts for Focalistic and Vigro Deep, who previously created magic together on fan-favourite hits like “Ke Star” and “Blue Monday.” Their musical chemistry is undeniable, with Focalistic’s lyrical prowess and infectious energy perfectly complementing Vigro Deep’s hard-hitting beats and log drum mastery.
While not much has been revealed about the track’s title or release date, the snippet already showcases a vibrant, club-ready groove, combining hypnotic piano melodies and a bass-heavy drop — signature elements of Vigro’s production style. Ch’cco’s melodic hook adds even more flavour to the track, confirming that B.O.A.T.S will offer more than just a standard Amapiano experience.
Fans on social media have already dubbed the preview a “summer anthem in the making,” with many praising the fusion of sounds and the star-studded collaboration. The album B.O.A.T.S, scheduled for release on Mandela Day (18 July), is expected to feature more high-profile artists, including Pabi Cooper, M.J, and others.
With this collaboration, Focalistic and Vigro Deep continue to push the boundaries of Amapiano, merging street appeal with international-ready production. The upcoming album is shaping up to be one of the biggest releases of 2025, and this preview has only intensified the buzz around it.
