Amapiano heavyweight Djy Jaivane is set to light up the music scene once again, announcing that his upcoming project titled “Onkgopotse” will be released this July. The Simnandi Records boss, known for his deep-rooted presence in the Amapiano scene and his genre-defining mixes, took to Instagram to share the exciting news with fans.
With visible excitement, Djy Jaivane posted:
“🚨News Alert!!🚨The album you’ve been waiting for #Onkgopotse by Djy Jaivane SA is coming this July! Stay tuned for the release date 😊 #Onkgopotse🙏🏼 #Simnandi🤟🏽 MODIMO PLEASE TAKE OVER!!”
The announcement sent fans into a frenzy as they flooded his comment section with messages of anticipation and support. Known for his signature soulful Amapiano sound and seamless DJ sets, Djy Jaivane has built a loyal fanbase that has been eagerly waiting for his next major release.
While not much has been revealed about the official tracklist or collaborators on Onkgopotse, Jaivane’s past work suggests that fans can expect a carefully curated selection of tracks, emotional melodies, deep log drums, and powerful storytelling through sound. The album is expected to continue his tradition of nurturing emerging talent, especially under his Simnandi label, while delivering music that resonates with both kasi and global audiences.
This project follows a string of personal wins for the DJ, including his latest luxury car purchase earlier this year, which made headlines and sparked conversations about the fruits of success within the Amapiano genre. It’s clear that Onkgopotse is more than just a musical offering — it’s a reintroduction of Djy Jaivane’s journey and growth as both an artist and entrepreneur.
As July approaches, all eyes are now on Jaivane for the official release date. Fans are already speculating about potential features from familiar Simnandi affiliates like ATK Musiq, Muziqal Tone, and Msheke, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
With the tagline “MODIMO PLEASE TAKE OVER” accompanying the post, Djy Jaivane is hinting at a project filled with spiritual depth, creative precision, and cultural impact. If his track record is anything to go by, Onkgopotse is bound to shake the streets and dominate playlists for months to come.
