Amapiano powerhouse DBN Gogo is set to make a major move in her international career as she prepares for her headline debut in New York City. The South African DJ and producer will take center stage at the Piano People festival, set to take place on August 2nd at the iconic Central Park SummerStage.

The announcement was made by Piano People on Instagram, with a post that read:
“NYC WE ARE BACK! 🇺🇸 Piano People are making our return to the @summerstage at Central Park, with @dbngogo leading the way for her New York headline debut! 🔥🔥🔥
If you were part of history with us last year, you already know this groove is about to be special! We’re taking Amapiano to the world all summer with our global tour — you DON’T want to miss this!”

This performance marks a significant moment in DBN Gogo’s journey as she becomes one of the few South African female DJs to headline a major event in the Big Apple. Known for her energetic sets and commanding stage presence, DBN Gogo continues to elevate Amapiano to global heights, and her appearance in New York will further solidify her status as an international music force.

She won’t be alone on this groundbreaking night. The lineup features a strong cast of fellow South African stars including Musa Keys, Felo Le Tee, TxC, and Vigro Deep. Together, they’ll represent the best of Amapiano, bringing authentic South African sounds to one of the world’s most influential music capitals.

Fans have already begun expressing excitement across social media, with many hailing the event as a historic moment for the genre and for African music culture as a whole. DBN Gogo’s inclusion as the headline act is especially meaningful, reflecting her steady rise in a predominantly male-dominated scene and her unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of Amapiano.

This summer, Piano People’s global tour is flying the Amapiano flag high, and with DBN Gogo leading the charge in New York, it’s clear that the world is paying attention. August 2nd is shaping up to be more than just a performance — it’s a celebration of South African talent going global.
