South African music sensation Lady Du has once again reminded fans of her deep-rooted musical talent by showing off her impressive DJing skills. Taking to Instagram, the Amapiano star shared a video of herself performing a vinyl DJ set while visiting her father’s house.

In the post, Lady Du revealed that her father owns an extensive collection of vinyl records, which played a significant role in shaping her DJing journey. Reflecting on the experience, she expressed her excitement and hinted at possibly revisiting vinyl DJing as a hobby.

“This is my dad’s house, he has millions of vinyls. 😭😭😭 Yho Bathe, we are going back to vinyls 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂 careers will end ke la. We learned DJing ngama vinyls, not CDJs. I’ll go back to playing one day ❤️ but as a hobby,” she wrote.

Lady Du’s post not only showcased her DJing skills but also sparked a conversation about the authenticity and technical mastery required in vinyl DJing. Unlike modern CDJs and digital controllers, vinyl DJing demands a high level of skill, precision, and an ear for seamless transitions—something Lady Du mastered early on.

Her playful challenge to other DJs, suggesting that vinyl could separate true DJs from those relying on modern technology, quickly gained attention from fans and industry peers. Many applauded her for highlighting the origins of DJing, while others encouraged her to fully embrace vinyl sets again.

While Lady Du is widely recognized for her powerful vocals and chart-topping Amapiano hits, her recent post serves as a reminder that she is a multi-talented artist with deep roots in music production and DJing. This moment also reinforced the fact that music runs in her blood, with her father’s influence playing a key role in shaping her career.

Following her Instagram post, fans flooded the comments section, urging Lady Du to incorporate vinyl sets into her performances. Many expressed excitement at the idea of seeing her take on old-school DJing techniques in the modern Amapiano era.

Whether she fully embraces vinyl DJing or keeps it as a hobby, one thing is clear—Lady Du continues to prove that she is more than just a vocalist, but a true all-around musician.
