Lady Du continues to shine as both a successful artist and an astute businesswoman. The multi-talented entrepreneur recently took to Instagram to celebrate a significant milestone: purchasing her third property for her growing beauty franchise, Wawa La Beauty.
In a heartfelt post, Lady Du reflected on her journey, highlighting the sacrifices and challenges she overcame to achieve this accomplishment. She shared, “God has been good to me. I have been working non-stop to buy and invest in a business that keeps growing. I sacrificed a lot to even build what I have.”
Lady Du revealed that her path to success was far from easy, recounting moments of betrayal and setbacks that forced her to start from scratch twice. Despite these obstacles, she remained resilient, focusing on her goals and building relationships with promoters and fans who stood by her side.
“My brand survived with just a phone and the people I love. I made a lot of mistakes trusting people with my brand—they stole from me. Others changed when we got our royalties and underpaid us so they could look more successful. But I kept my head down and focused,” she wrote.
Now, with three properties under her belt, Lady Du is making strides in creating opportunities for others. Her third franchise marks another chapter in her mission to empower young women and men through employment and entrepreneurship.
“Today, I write to thank you all for helping me build a business that creates employment for young women and men, motivating them to have their own businesses,” she expressed.
In addition to her franchise success, Lady Du revealed that she has also purchased two 10-hectare plots of land in different cities, further expanding her business ventures. Despite acknowledging that these investments have left her temporarily “broke,” she remains proud of her achievements and optimistic about the future.
“Right now, I’m broke, but I’m proud of myself. To all the people that are a part of my growth, I thank you. Izandla zidlula ekhanda [The hands surpass the head],” she concluded.
