Kabza De Small, widely known as the “King of Amapiano,” has once again made headlines, but this time for something other than his chart-topping music. The launch of his highly anticipated restaurant and nightclub, Piano Hub, in the heart of Soweto, has sparked a wave of controversy, particularly around the establishment’s pricing.

The grand opening of Piano Hub was nothing short of spectacular. A star-studded event, it saw top South African celebrities and international icons like American rapper Busta Rhymes in attendance. The atmosphere was electric, as fans and industry insiders came together to celebrate Kabza’s latest venture. However, it wasn’t long before social media began buzzing with another topic—the prices on the Piano Hub menu.

Screenshots of the menu surfaced online shortly after the launch, and the steep prices quickly became the subject of heated discussion. While many fans applauded Kabza De Small’s move into the hospitality business, others were taken aback by the cost of dining at Piano Hub, calling it excessive for the Soweto area. Items on the menu, ranging from cocktails to food platters, were priced significantly higher than expected, sparking outrage among some patrons.

One Twitter user expressed disappointment, stating, “You gotta save the whole year to really go and have a nice time once in a year at Kabza’s Piano Hub.” Another user criticized the pricing strategy, saying, “Trying to make quick profits on a new establishment with insane pricing models almost never works long term. Small profits consistently will get him there, not this nonsense mark-ups.”

Despite the backlash over the high prices, Kabza De Small’s Piano Hub has undeniably grabbed the public’s attention. The nightclub and restaurant have become a trending topic, with mixed reactions flooding social media platforms. Some fans argue that the pricing reflects the quality and exclusivity of the experience, while others feel it alienates the local community.

Whether the controversy over pricing will affect the longevity of the establishment remains to be seen. For now, Kabza De Small’s Piano Hub is making waves in Soweto’s nightlife scene, and only time will tell if it will become a long-standing hotspot or if the high prices will turn customers away in the long run.

Trying to make quick profits on new establishment with insane pricing models almost never works long term. Small profits consistently will get him there not this nonsense mark ups. The place won't last 5 years with those prices cause Corona will have go to R150 there in 5 years
