Rising star Tyla has just dropped a new single, “Breathe Me,” from her debut album, and the music video has fans buzzing. Shot in the vibrant streets of Osaka, Japan, the video features Tyla and her love interest on a romantic late-night adventure through the bustling city, continuing the storyline from her previous music video, “Truth Or Dare.”

The video showcases the couple as they explore Osaka, eventually finding themselves in a karaoke bar where the chemistry between them heats up. The intimate scenes have captivated fans, who are drawn in by the deep connection portrayed between Tyla and her date.

Directed by the acclaimed Nabil, who also directed her “Jump” project in Johannesburg, the visuals for “Breathe Me” are stunning. According to Billboard, the video may have been shot during Tyla’s recent trip to Japan, where she also did a signing event at Tower Records in Shibuya. The vibrant cityscape of Osaka adds a unique and energetic backdrop to the music video, complementing the catchy, upbeat nature of the song.

Tyla’s excitement about her latest project was evident as she took to social media to share a clip from the video, paired with a cheeky caption, “But we friends tho…” The caption is a playful reference to a viral moment when popular streamer Kai Cenat invited Tyla to his livestream and asked her out on a date. Her response, “But we are friends, though,” quickly became a hit among her fans, known as “Tygers,” who flooded her comments with their reactions.

The chemistry between Tyla and her on-screen partner in the “Breathe Me” video has not gone unnoticed by fans. Many have expressed their admiration for the connection portrayed, while others jokingly lamented their own unfulfilled dreams of being her date. The video’s mix of romance, energy, and the vibrant setting of Osaka has resonated with viewers, making it a standout visual from her debut album.

As Tyla continues to rise in the music industry, “Breathe Me” showcases her ability to create captivating stories through her music videos, further cementing her status as an artist to watch. With the combination of catchy tunes and visually striking videos, Tyla is poised to make a significant impact both locally and internationally.
