Cassper Nyovest has shown deep interest in the amapiano genre, as he is leaning towards the genre and releasing some of the chart toping tracks featuring amapiano pioneers and record producers. He has also announced that he will be dropping an amapiano album soon.
Cassper has revealed what he loves about amapiano in a recent tweet that reads: “The one thing I love about Amapiano is that there are no gate keepers. Ha gona bosso. It’s either your song is hot or it’s not!!!”
Simply put, he is stating that amapiano has no gate keeper or one specific artist who releases smash hits, but anyone capable of creating amapiano music can be the next hit maker. Amapiano is the word being used to describe what’s currently South Africa’s fastest-growing electronic-music movement, and has seen many upcoming and already famous artists dominating the genre.
